Developed with F1 technology, the Aston Martin Valhalla Spider has been revealed. The British marque’s open-top hybrid hypercar features 793 kW and a 350 km/h top speed.

Scheduled to make its official global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, which takes place from 29 October to 1 November, Aston Martin has unveiled the Valhalla Spider. The open-top model builds on the foundation of the Coupé and is developed alongside Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the consulting arm of Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team.
Engineered roof system delivers high-speed performance
The Valhalla Spider’s roof system was created to not only maintain clean exterior lines, but to ensure structural efficiency. The standard configuration comprises a removable fabric roof, which allows safe operation at speeds of up to 200 km/h. Customers seeking maximum performance can specify the optional carbon-fibre hard-top. Fitted with the latter item, the Valhalla Spider can reach 350 km/h (electronically limited), making it the fastest open-top car in Aston Martin’s history. The firm claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 2.5 seconds.
Engineers created a unique wind deflector to manage airflow when the roof is stowed. This device clips into position to redirect air over the cabin and feed cool air directly into the raised engine snorkel. Active aerodynamic and revised stability control systems adjust automatically based on whether the roof is attached or removed.
Aston Martin Valhalla Spider F1-derived technologies
Powering the Aston Martin Valhalla Spider is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system generating a combined 793 kW and 1 100 N.m of torque. At the heart of the PHEV setup is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 internal combustion engine (ICE) producing 609 kW. The ICE is supported by three electric motors – two driving the front axle, replete with torque vectoring, and a single unit working alongside an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission at the rear axle. Integrated dynamics control software manages power distribution to all four wheels to maintain traction and balance.
The core of the Valhalla Spider relies on a carbon-fibre tub designed using Formula One composite techniques. This lightweight cell provides the rigidity required for precise handling without adding unnecessary weight. Framing the cabin are dihedral doors with revised hinges for smoother ingress.
The Valhalla Spider sits on a suspension setup featuring a front double wishbone pushrod layout with inboard springs and dampers, paired with a multilink rear arrangement using coil springs and an anti-roll bar. Adaptive damping comes from a Bilstein DTX system with intelligent dampers. Unsprung mass and grip are managed by 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged alloy wheels, wrapped Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 AML summer tyres or optional Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 winter tyres. Stopping power comes from a high-performance carbon-ceramic braking system – the latter comprising six-piston front callipers with 410 mm discs and four-piston rear callipers with 390 mm discs.
