The Omoda X Concept gives us a sneak peek at what we can expect from the Chinese brand’s next generation of lifestyle crossovers and SUVs…

Omoda revealed the all-new Omoda X concept vehicle at the global International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The concept explores the foundational characteristics of a modern SUV, emphasising a confident stance, generous cabin space, and overall versatility. Omoda reinterprets these everyday practical traits through a dedicated focus on design, advanced technology, and personal fashion.
Designed specifically around modern lifestyle habits, the Omoda X concept blends seamlessly into city commutes during the week and leisure trips on weekends. The vehicle functions as both practical transport and a distinct expression of personal style.
Cyber Mecha exterior design defines the Omoda X
The exterior aesthetic of the Omoda X concept uses sharp, angular surfaces that build upon the brand’s ‘Cyber Mecha’ design language. This styling approach previously featured on the Omoda 4, which debuted at its European motor show presentation in Paris earlier this month. On the Omoda X, designers applied this design language to a wider body with broad shoulders and a tightly sculpted waistline. Omoda displayed the concept vehicle in striking silver and green body colours, both featuring a contrasting black roof setup.
Distinct brand styling links the vehicle directly to the current product lineup. The lightning-style tail lights share strong visual ties with the Omoda 7 and the upcoming Omoda 4. Additionally, the arrowhead shape of the front LED daytime running lights reflects the rear light design seen on the Omoda 5.

High-Tech interior and intelligent packaging features
Inside the cabin, the Omoda X concept demonstrates how digital technology creates a more personal driving environment. A twin-wing dashboard and an X-shaped floating centre console surround a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a large 13.2-inch central touchscreen interface. The design retains physical controls for regularly used cabin functions, including the air conditioning and drive settings.
The interior centers around Omoda’s Super Intelligent Space system. The concept voice assistant understands natural, conversational speech rather than rigid voice commands. Drivers can also set up a personalized X-MODE drive program to tailor core vehicle responses and dynamic settings to their preference.
The onboard technology extends to cabin entertainment and enhanced driver reassurance. A specialised microphone system with four independent sound pickup zones enables passengers to enjoy in-car karaoke without needing handheld microphones. For safer driving after dark, an integrated infrared thermal imaging night vision system identifies potential hazards up to 90 metres ahead of the vehicle.
Practicality and versatility for daily use
The Omoda X concept backs up its progressive appearance with solid utility figures. The vehicle features a ground clearance of 200 mm, a maximum roof load capacity of 75 kg, and 39 distinct internal storage spaces for gear and equipment. The engineering design targets an increased towing capacity intended to reach 1,800 kg.

Being a concept vehicle, all announced specifications remain subject to change. Regional market availability and official launch dates have not yet been confirmed.
