Alfa Romeo remains committed to the Giulia and Stelvio, with the Italian automaker issuing key refinements to the former and latter for the 2027 model year. This includes subtle exterior updates, enhanced onboard technology, and interior quality upgrades.

Alfa Romeo has stressed the Giulia and Stelvio will continue to express its core identity. Despite modest global sales since their initial launch, these models endure as compelling alternatives to the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and X3 and GLC. For 2027, the Italian brand has streamlined the lineup into four distinct trims: Sprint, Veloce, Edizione Luna Rossa, and Quadrifoglio.
Powertrain availability varies by region. The European market retains a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel. Offers in two states of tune, the oil-burner can be had with either a rear- or all-wheel drivetrain, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Select global markets receive a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which sends 206 kW to the rear wheels via the same eight-speed self-shifter.
The Quadrifoglio continue to spearhead the range. The apex models in the Giulia and Stelvio lineups employ a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 developing 382 kW. In the sedan, power is exclusively delivered to the rear wheels, while the Stelvio features Alfa Romeo’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system. The automaker has sharpened handling dynamics via Chassis Domain Control, active suspension, and a mechanical self-locking differential. The extensive use of carbon-fibre components has reduced kerb weight. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio upgrades to 21-inch alloy wheels as standard.

Interior, technology and styling updates

The cabin retains its driver-centric layout, while incorporating essential tech updates. A 12.3-inch digital display sits inside the classic ‘telescope’ instrument cluster, complemented by an 8.8-inch Alfa Connect Navi infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto screen mirroring. Standard convenience features include adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera, and a wireless smartphone charging tray. Software updates and a new driver-monitoring camera mounted in the A-pillar ensure compliance with revised safety regulations.
Individual trim levels offer distinct interior and exterior elements. The Veloce trim adds sporty accents such as red Brembo brake callipers, leather sports seats, aluminium paddle shifters, and model-specific alloy wheels. The Edizione Luna Rossa balances sustainability and luxury by featuring carbon-fibre accents, custom badging, a premium Harman Kardon audio system, and active electronic suspension. The special edition features ECONYL, a regenerated nylon fabric produced partly from recycled ocean fishing nets, upholstery.
Exterior changes include updated monochrome black-and-white ‘Alfa Romeo’ badging on the bonnet and tailgate. A new paint shade, Anodized Blue, joins the colour palette.
